RULES

  • The following rules apply for your participation in the GRAPHIC SILVER photography contest, organised by GRAPHIC SILVER.

    By submitting an image, the entrant accepts these Terms and Conditions.

  • The GRAPHIC SILVER contest is a Weekly Photography Contest, rewarding 3 photographers with 3 money prizes (80% of the total entry fees). The GRAPHIC SILVER contest is open to any living photographer (professional and non-professional), 18 years of age or older, from any country in the world. Entries may only be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.

  • All photographers must submit their work online. Digital filesare required. Images shot digitally or on film will be accepted. All filmprints and transparencies must be scanned and delivered digitally. Prints are not accepted as part of the competition. Digital images submitted should be saved as .jpg and not exceed 10 MB per file, at 72dpi. Images from mobile devices (smartphones) are allowed to be submitted. No signature, stamp or any other identifying mark is allowed anywhere on the image submitted. All digital images must contain original metadata. If such information is not provided, images may be disqualified. If any doubts occur regarding the authenticity of the digital image, the original file (RAW or original file in case of mobile) will be requested by the GRAPHIC SILVER judges for analysis. Inappropriate submissions will disqualify the photographer from the contest. If the subject of an image is a minor (under the age of 18), the creator must provide a written release form on request, signed by the legal representative(s), e.g. parents or legal guardian of the minor according to local law. Failure to provide such release may result in disqualification.

  • All entries must include the exact entry fee payable to GRAPHIC SILVER in € currency. 10 € per image. An official digital submission entry form must be completed with each individual image submitted. Once an image has been submitted, it is final and may not be replaced by another image. Illimited number of images can be submitted every week.

    Submission opens on the beginning of Mondays and closes on the end of Fridays.

  • A new theme will be unveiled every Friday (on www.graphicsilver.com and on social media). Fine art, landscape, street, documentary, portrait, fashion, black & white or colourful images...All styles are allowed. Just release your creativity!

  • Every Sunday night, the 3 winners will each receive a money prize, according to the number of entries and the total Money Prize (80% of the total Entry Fees). Money prizes are paid via PayPal.

    1st Prize : 50% of the total Entry Fees

    2nd Prize : 20% of the total Entry Fees

    3rd Prize : 10% of the total Entry Fees

  • Copyright and all other rights remain those of the photographer. Any photograph used by GRAPHIC SILVER shall carry the photographer’s credit line. The photo credit line must appear adjacent to the photo, as part of a caption directly underneath.

    All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by GRAPHIC SILVER for marketing and promotional purposes including in any media such as exhibitions, print and digital media directly related to the GRAPHIC SILVER competition, though there may not be monetary compensation.

    Neither GRAPHIC SILVER nor their partners assume any responsibility for photos submitted in violation of competition rules, or for those who violate copyright regulations. GRAPHIC SILVER will investigate claims of copyright infringement to the best of its ability, and will remove and disqualify images that are clearly demonstrated to violate copyright and/or competition policies. GRAPHIC SILVER will always act to maintain the integrity of the competition.

    The GRAPHIC SILVER Jury Judging the GRAPHIC SILVER contest is an intensive process taking place over a short period. The work is done by independent specialist judges, fully involved, who judge while maintaining the integrity of the process. Official contest judges will base their decisions on a mix of technical superiority, composition, creativity, impact, artistic flair and overall qualities of photographic excellence. All decisions by the GRAPHIC SILVER judges are final.
